Mercury in Capricorn places the planet that governs thinking, communication and how you learn into the earth sign of mastery, endurance and long-game ambition. The result is a distinct, workable flavor of mercury-energy — one you can read at a glance in a birth chart.
Mercury rules thinking, communication and how you learn. In Capricorn — a cardinal earth sign ruled by Saturn — that energy becomes mastery, endurance and long-game ambition. People born with this placement tend to express it consistently, whether they know astrology or not.
